FACTS Code of Conduct

More than 20 years ago, FACTS Management Company began as a tuition management company providing services to just one school with 30 families. Today, FACTS serves nearly 5,000 schools, more than one million families, and manages approximately $3.4 billion in tuition funds each year.

To maintain the highest level of corporate responsibility, our employees are taught the FACTS Enterprise Code of Conduct as an integral part of their training. During their day-today business dealings, each employee maintains good judgment and upholds the Code of Conduct to ensure we make decisions which fulfill our mission of enhancing the financial stability and affordability of educational institutions.

The Code of Conduct serves as the ethical guide for our company as well as a binding commitment to our customers that we will always strive to do business with the highest degree of honesty and integrity.  Below are some of the high points of our Code of Conduct.

 

FACTS Enterprise Code of Conduct:

1. Comply with laws, regulations and FACTS standards: we must comply with the spirit, not just the letter, of relevant laws, regulations and FACTS standards as outlined in this code and other FACTS policies. We expect FACTS associates to deal fairly with all FACTS stakeholders.

2. Speak up: we must speak up if we suspect any actual, planned or potential behavior that may breach any laws, regulations or FACTS standards.

3. Avoid conflicts of interest: we must take steps to avoid conflicts of interest. If we identify potential conflicts of interest, we must take action to resolve and manage them in an open and honest manner.

4. Protect and ensure proper use of company assets: we must protect FACTS assets and ensure that they are used efficiently and for legitimate business purposes.

5. Accurately represent FACTS always and never mis-sell or misrepresent FACTS products or services: we must comply with laws, regulations and FACTS standards on mis-selling and advertising.

6. Resolve customer complaints quickly and fairly: we must ensure that all complaints are resolved quickly, fairly and recorded appropriately.

7. Respect confidentiality and protect data: we must respect laws, regulations and FACTS standards governing confidentiality of information and data protection.
 
8. Treat our people fairly: we must treat our colleagues with fairness and respect, help them to grow, and enable individuals to make a difference and teams to win.

9. Be open and honest with our regulators: we must demonstrate exemplary governance wherever we are.

The high points of the Code of Conduct outlined in this article draw attention to the serious nature of our business and our unwavering pledge to make educational dreams possible through commitment, service and ethical business practices. FACTS has always operated under the mantra, “Do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.” The Code of Conduct gives shape and structure to this mantra.
